Finally Dell have started offering a Dell machine equipped with Ubuntu Linux 7.04. There are 3 of them: the XPS 410n and Dimension E520n desktops and the Inspiron E1505n notebook. The starting price is $599 for the E520n desktop and the E1505n notebook and the XPS 410n starts at $849. This is an afordable price from Dell and also a good move to encourage users to start using Ubuntu Linux right out of the box. Hardware support will come from Dell and about Linux updates and software users can got  to Linux section on the Dell Community forum. If a new user don’t know what is Open Source, Linux or Ubuntu Linux, they can go to Dell Open Source page.
