I know that everyone had experienced computer crashing down and all that you’ve done is lost including when you are browsing the internet for such a long time and disappeared just like that. Well if you are using Opera then don’t be scared if something crash out because Opera has a crash recovery feature that allows you to continue what you are doing before. Opera will ask you to continue from your last browsing activity or start again with your selected home page or start again with a blank page.

Yes, the title says it all. You can know download your favorite or any torrent file using Opera browser. Isn’t that cool. How? Well:

  1. Go to your favorite torrent site let’s say Mininova.org
  2. Then search your particular torrent in the search box
  3. After you’ve selected your torrent file, click on it to download
  4. There will be a prompt asking you to where you want to save the file and also you can edit your torrent preferences such as what port you are using and the bandwidth.
  5. After you have selected the location ad BitTorrent preferences, Opera browser can now download your torrent file within the browser. Isn’t that cool? ;)

Opera browser version 9.20 have the main features that I really like that is speed dial. When you click new tab in IE7 or Firefox we always have a blank page and this where speed dial is so special. Opera allows user to put their 9 favorite sites that they want to access as quick as possible by simply right click on the box and then choose edit. Then Opera create a snapshot of the site so user can see their favorite sites is really there. But not everyone will like this features as they may get used to blank page and just entered any URL in the address bar. Opera also have an option for users to hide speed dial features. Just go at the right-hand bottom of the page and you can see “hide speed dial” button. Click it and speed dial features will disappear and if you want to view it again just click at “show speed dial” button at the right-hand bottom of the page. ;)

Shop with confidence - new fraud protection from Opera

Well I’ve made up my mind now to switch from Firefox to Opera because personally I’m tired of slow performance of Firefox and even I tweak it using about:config the performance is still below average. It is even slower if you install too many addon on it. Damn it! I thought my broadband connection got a problem but instead Firefox just won’t allow me to view some site. Not a porn site ok :) ? But when I tried using Opera, it’s pretty clear to me that I don’t have a problem with my broadband connection. Opera saves my life. Hehe I can tell you that.

What is so special about Opera? Well it’s fast browsing. Yeah it is much faster than IE7 and Firefox and I’m not kidding. I can watch YouTube videos and not to wait too long for its to download. Opera also have tons of features that makes it much more interesting same as other browsers. Such as tab browsing, feed subscription, got its own download manager, torrent handling (yup there’s a built-in torrent client, isn’t that cool!), and a special features Speed Dial.

I don’t have much to say but if anyone is tired of Firefox or IE7, Opera is the way to go. Well I’m not offending anyone who loves Firefox because I still love Firefox. But I need some changes in browsing activity and thesekind of changes should make my computing much fun. Hey this blog is about fun computing remember? heheheh ;)
